The Centre for Climate Justice is pleased to co-sponsor this important event highlighting Indigenous leadership in forest stewardship and climate action across North America. Over two days at UBC Connects at Robson Square, Indigenous leaders from Canada, Mexico, and the United States will share deeply rooted knowledge and innovative strategies that not only care for forests but also strengthen community resilience and advance global sustainability.
This gathering—held in partnership with the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs, the British Columbia Assembly of First Nations, Duke University Office of Climate and Sustainability, the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, Duke Global, the UBC Faculty of Forestry, and the UBC Indigenous Research Support Initiative—offers an opportunity to learn directly from those on the frontlines of climate action.
When: Monday, April 28 to Tuesday, April 29, 2025
Where: UBC Robson Square and UBC Point Grey campus
