Dr. Paroma Wagle is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of English Language and Literatures and the Department of Geography. Paroma is an urban researcher working in the fields of public policy, urban planning, urban history, political ecology, and systems thinking. Her research focuses on megacities and water access, regional watershed management, and urban climate justice. At UBC, she leads the project Urban Climate Justice from Below (website:  https://urbanclimatejustice.com). She received her Ph.D. in 2020 from the Department of Urban Planning and Public Policy at the University of California, Irvine. She also holds an Erasmus Mundus Masters in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management jointly awarded by four European Universities and a Master of Research in Social Science Research Methods (International Development) from the University of East Anglia, UK.
