My name is Fabiola and I am currently a graduate student in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program with a focus on Community Engagement, Social Change, Equity at UBC Okanagan. I attended university in The Netherlands and California for my undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences & Sustainability. For my Master thesis I will work with youth climate activists on how they conceptualize and enact climate justice in a place-specific way. Besides being a student, I am a climate activist myself, and passionate about issues of climate justice. I have been active with different initiatives in Germany (Plant for the Planet, Fridays For Future), The Netherlands (Extinction Rebellion), California (Youth4Climate Justice Santa Cruz) and now Kelowna (Fridays For Future). I am furthermore active with the youth constituancy to the UNFCCC (YOUNGO).
