Join us for an intimate conversation with Mercury Prize-winning musician ANOHNI, ahead of her Chan Presents concert in the Chan Shun Concert Hall on October 5th, in dialogue with Naomi Klein, acclaimed author, Co-Director of the UBC Centre for Climate Justice and Associate Professor of Climate Justice.

ANOHNI’s sixth studio album, My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross (2023), continues to examine societal structures, spirituality, and our relationships with the biosphere. The record was named Album of the Year by The New Yorkerand The Toronto Star. Politiken awarded it five hearts and called it “a delicate flame ignited by the soul music of the past,” while GAFFA characterized it as “an otherworldly experience.”

This FREE, moderated chat will explore ANOHNI’s music, creative process, and art-making in a time of climate crisis. Admission is free, tickets are required. All are welcome!
