I am concerned with finding innovative ways of effectively engaging communities in the rural interior of BC in climate action, while addressing the underlying risks of increasing conspiracy-based polarization. My focus is on widening the social mandate for climate action, by finding ways to reach community groups beyond the usual committed, progressive environmentalists. I am also interested in identifying characteristics of a dialogical approach for mitigating polarization.

Community natural resource management, environment and resilience, community-based management of forests, specifically non-timber forest products (NTFP), environmental and resilience-related initiatives.
