In response to the accelerated horrific updates coming out of Gaza, please join us for our next informative session on September 8th. Canadian Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Deirdre Nunan is hosted by BC Physicians Against Genocide to share her most recent work in one of the barely standing hospitals left in Gaza. In discussion with best- selling author and Centre for Climate Justice Co-Director Naomi Klein, Dr. Nunan will describe the horrific situation taking place and discuss ways Canadians and people around the world could help. Dr. Nunan, who completed her medical training through UBC’s Northern Medical Program in Prince George, has spent much of the past decade working in international humanitarian contexts, including Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Central Asia. She has spent nearly 2 years working in Gaza, including having worked there on 3 occasions during the past year. She most recently returned to Canada in July, after working at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza.
